German Marshall Hermann Goering enters, walks down aisle and greets young officer in front row. Stage set with massed flags, Swastika and flowers. Albert Speer presents award to a civilian woman, and one to an older civilian man. Men and women receive small crosses (Kriegsverdienstkreuz) that indicate their level of civilian (non-combat) service to the nation. One man receives the highest level honor. General von Runstedt presents awards to two civilian men. Hermann Goering presents an award to a civilian woman. He speaks to an older woman and pats her on the shoulder. Albert Speer escorts an older civilian man to the front of the assembly, as an officer, in the background reads a citation about the man. Audience is attentive. A young German officer places ribbon around the man's neck, with medal attached. Hermann Goering congratulates the awardee. Military band plays , as Goering and the honorees emerge from the ceremony.
