Description
1966: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC ELECTIONS. In a surprise victory, Joaquin Balaguer defeats Juan Bosch in the Dominican Republic presidential elections. Balaguer polls over fifty-eight percent of the vote. He was the Reformist Party candidate while Bosch was the leader of the Revolutionary Party.
