Description
1945 (May) USA: MAY of 1945 saw the lights go on again. From the nation's Capital Dome to Broadway to Seattle, the blackout was ended with the surrender of Hitler in Europe. Three months later came V-J Day when the Japanese surrendered. From one end of the country to the other it was the greatest celebration the United States has ever seen.
