Description
Argentine media giant wins divestment reprieve A fierce battle played out early December 2012 in Argentina between President Cristina Fernandez’s government and the country’s largest media group, Clarin, over the implementation of a 2009 anti-monopoly law. A lower court granted the Grupo Clarin time to challenge the law that could force the media giant's breakup. The Argentine government filed an appeal with Supreme Court immediately after the ruling. Stockshots of anti-Clarin posters, newspaper headlines, Argentine Supreme Court and Clarin’s newsroom.
