Rwanda hosts Women in Parliament summit A three-day conference on women in parliament wrapped up on Thursday in Rwanda, where 64 percent of parliamentarians are women. The Women in Parliament (WIP) 2014 Summer Summit gathered delegates from 45 countries across the world, including the prime minister of Norway, to discuss the role of women in peace, reconciliation and security as well as the effects of gender balance in politics and its role in societal change.
