Indians turn to townships in twilight years A small but growing band of middle-class Indians are departing from the tradition of staying with their families as they enter old age. Instead they are opting for retirement “townships”, with draws such as Hindu temples, ayurverdic massages and scenic mountain views — as well as companionship from fellow senior citizens.
