Buenos Aires:Villa 21 slum ready to see Pope Francis in Paraguay In the Villa 21, one of Buenos Aires’ biggest slums, parish priest Father Toto is getting ready to go to Paraguay to see a man he has known for more than 10 years: Pope Francis. “Some people here call him the ‘Pope of the slums,’” says Father Toto about Pope Francis who often visited the Villa 21 when he was still archbishop of Buenos Aires. 160 of the slum’s residents, mostly Paraguayan immigrants, will also take part in the trip to neighboring Paraguay, which they will reach by bus.
