O'Malley kicks off Democratic race in New Hampshire Democratic presidential contender Martin O'Malley was the first major candidate to kick off registration for the New Hampshire presidential primary on Wednesday. The pilgrimage to Concord to sign the official paperwork and pay the 1,000 dollar fee has long been part of US electoral tradition in the state that holds the earliest presidential primary, set for February 2016.
