Chad civil society leader speaks out after arrest during polls A Chadian civil society leader who was detained during the presidential race says it was an attempt to 'muzzle' voices calling for change. Nadjo Kaina Palmer, President of the Union of Students of Chad and coordinator of civil society movment Iyina, was arrested for urging anti-government protests.
