Ceremony marks 40th anniversary of SAfrica's Soweto uprising South African students and church leaders held a ceremony in Soweto on Saturday to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Soweto uprising, a turning point in South Africa's anti-apartheid struggle that cost the lives of at least 170 people.
