Description
Syrian asylum seekers given Russian classes Aged between 6 and 15 years old these young Syrian refugees dream of a bright future, having fled their war-torn homeland for a new life in Russia. The small town of Noguinsk which lies 50 km outside of Moscow has a community of almost 2000 Syrian refugees. In conjunction with an NGO a local school hopes to help the children integrate as well as possible into life in Russia, by offering 4 hours of Russian language classes to 30 Syrian youths to prepare them for the new school year. But funding for the project, which is currently provided by the UN's refugee agency, will dry up in September, leaving its organisers looking for alternative sources of financing.
