Description
France faces new health scandal over epilepsy drug More than 14,000 pregnant women in France took Sanofi's epilepsy drug Depakine from 2007 to 2014, despite the known risks of it causing incurable birth defects, a new study has revealed. The report also shows some 10 percent of children born to mothers taking the drug risk physical malformations, while 30 to 40 percent face developmental disorders like autism. France's Health Ministry is accused of having known about the risks for years and covering it up. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
