Rio 2016: Los Angeles lifeguard swims for Syria While the best American, European and Australian swimmers are refining their strokes in huge Olympic trials organised by their respective national organisations, swimmers from smaller countries must train on their own. Such is the case for Azad Al-Barazi who will wear the Syrian colors at the Rio Olympics. The Syrian-American who moved to Los Angeles at the age of 7, is also a lifeguard on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean, far from the chaos taking place in his parents' native country. To achieve his Olympic dream, Azad is on his own. A voiced AFPTV report.
