Greek island volunteers contend for Nobel Peace Prize Of the 376 nominees in the running to win the Nobel Peace Prize 2016 are two groups of volunteers who both helped migrants on the Greek Aegean islands. One group is made up of an 85-year-old grandmother, a fisherman and actress Susan Sarandon while the other represents the whole network of solidarity in the Aegean islands, again with three named individuals (including the same 85-year old Emilia Kamvysi).
