Liwonde National Park in southern Malawi greets new cheetahs Liwonde National Park in southern Malawi, has re-introduced new cheetahs to the park. It's part of a conservation programme to restore the national park. It now boasts a total of 14 cheetahs. Four cheetahs - two females and two males – were introduced to the park about five months ago and three others, arrived two weeks ago donated by the Wildlife Trust in South Africa.
