Professional frisbee players boycott season for gender equality The Ultimate Frisbee community is pushing for equal playing opportunities for women in the sport, with some male players even boycotting the season. While the American Ultimate Disc League is officially an open league - meaning women can try out, and occasionally make a team - the boycotting players don’t want just a couple of women scattered through the league’s 23 teams. They want something much closer to 50/50.
