Malawians pick up Mandarin to broaden their horizons As a summit on China-Africa cooperation takes place in Beijing, Malawian students are increasingly picking up Mandarin to broaden their future prospects. The Director of Confucius Institute in Malawi, Professor Feng Jianguo says over 1,000 Malawians including students and business people are attending Chinese classes at 25 learning centres that have been established in four cities.
