Painting stolen by the Nazis ceremonially returned in New York French Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian participates in the ceremonial return of a painting stolen by the Nazis from a French citizen during World War II. Michel and Laurent Vernay, (descendants of the original owner) flew in from Paris to attend the event at the French Consulate in New York City.
