Sudan ministry gives tour of government hospitals following strike The national ministry of health in Khartoum gives a tour to journalists of its hospitals in the capital, saying that its services have been affected by barricades being put on roads by demonstrators taking part in a campaign of civil disobedience called for following a crackdown on a long-running sit-in site on June 3. Protesters have called the strike to pressure Sudan’s ruling generals to step aside and hand over power to a civilian government in the wake of the crackdown, in which they also said hospitals were attacked.
