Putin rebuffs criticism of Moscow demonstrations during Helsinki visit Russian President Vladimir Putin tells a press conference in Helsinki that protests in other European capitals have had much more serious consequences for the participants than the ones in Moscow. Speaking after a meeting with his Finnish counterpart, Sauli Niinisto, Putin also criticised the US for a recent missile test which came weeks after pulling out of a treaty with Russia which banned similar weapons.
