Some EU residents struggle to prove their rights to stay after Brexit The British Home Office released its latest statistics showing that 1,5 million EU residents in the UK have already applied to the EU settlement scheme in order to get residency status after Brexit. But while the government had promised that the process would be easy and that every EU resident would be allowed to stay, some of them are experiencing difficulties and see their right to a permanent residency status denied.
