Description
"My Way" celebrates half a century as original composer of Sinatra hit remains virtual unknown "My Way" became a global hit when it was sung by Hollywood star Frank Sinatra in 1969, after an English version had been adapted for the singer by Canadian singer-songwriter Paul Anka. But as Sinatra soared on the success of the recording, the song's original author - Frenchman Jacques Revaux - was left with crumbs. He laments allowing former star Claude Francois, who before Sinatra sang a popular French version called 'Comme d'habitude', to claim most of the credit for his version. And although Revaux has enjoyed being feted abroad, he remains virtually unknown in France. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
