Afghan artist brushes aside disability to open arts centre 19-year-old disabled Afghan artist Robaba Mohammadi is fighting back against discrimination in a country where the odds are stacked against women. Despite being born without the use of her hands and unable to walk, she taught herself to paint by holding a brush in her mouth and now creates elaborate and colourful portraits. Today, her works sell and exhibit internationally, she has also launched a centre in Kabul to help train other artists with disabilities. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
