Supporters of the former president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, gather outside his homestead in the village of Nkandla in a show of solidarity as he faced a deadline for surrendering to police for contempt of court. Leadership of the Mkhonto we Sizwe Military veterans association held a press conference where they warned of instability in the country should Zuma end up in jail.
