An Afghan doctor who worked with the German army and a British pharmaceutical firm before that, Abdulbashir Yusufi says he cannot contemplate a return home with his family. Having fled the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the 43-year-old was able to secure a last-minute visa for himself and his immediate family for Tajikistan and fly out of Kabul right as the Taliban reached the city's gates last month.
