As of this year, Portugal is Europe's leading producer of both conventional and electric bicycles; according to Eurostat, more than 2.5 million bicycles were produced in the Iberian country in 2020. Filipe Mota, an export manager for Incycles, attributes this to Portugal's "historical know-how" in the field. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
