People in Singapore are only allowed to gather in groups of two in public areas, while each household is allowed up to two visitors a day as the city-state rides out a surge in infections. The Sri Veeramakaliamman temple, one of the oldest temples in the city-state, suspended religious services during the holiday due to some covid-19 cases among its staff, but vaccinated devotees were able to make short visits to offer their prayers.
