Across from the Kremlin, a century-old power plant is transformed by a billionaire gas tycoon into a temple of contemporary art. The GES-2 arts centre, on the banks of the Moskva River which winds through the centre of the Russian capital, was designed by star Italian architect Renzo Piano and promises to house the biggest international names as well as Russian rising stars.
