Gambians vote in the first presidential election in the West African nation since former dictator Yahya Jammeh fled into exile in 2017 after Adama Barrow, then a relative unknown, defeated him at the ballot box. Facing five other candidates in his run for re-election, president Barrow casts his vote near the presidential palace and says his re-election will be "the biggest landslide victory in the history of this country," adding "in the next 24 hours my people will be celebrating in the streets".
