Courchevel's famous ski resort scrambles to prevent its wealthy clientele from slipping through its fingers because of the pandemic. A music and lis place toght show that usually take celebrate the new year has been cancelled. "Everyone wears masks on the ski lifts", says one relieved tourist. But hotel employees are less positive, as they are concerned about the amount of cancellations they have received over Christmas: "We feel like we are in a swimming pool and that every time we manage to get out of the water, our heads are thrown back under water again", explains one hotelier.
