Streets in the Mexican capital remain very busy during the Christmas period, despite rising Covid-19 cases and the presence of the Omicron variant that have led to the cancellation of New Year events. Mexico City authorities informed in a statement that a concert by the popular group Los Angeles Azules, which was to be held in tourist hotspot Paseo de la Reforma on 31 December, has been cancelled.
