South African pupils are back at school for their first day of the 2022 academic year, as the peak of the fourth coronavirus wave has passed in the country hardest hit by the pandemic on the continent. Protocols to prevent the spread of the virus are in place a the Johannesburg's private St. Andrew's school for girls.
