Franco-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt, who was held hostage from 2002 until 2008 by FARC guerrillas, announces during a press conference in Bogota that she will run for president.
Betancourt will take part in the vote of the Hope Centre Coalition, which will select a candidate for the presidential election on May 29.
