Description
More than 20 activists are arrested on the steps of the US Capitol in Washington, DC as the Senate starts debating on voting rights reform. "We would like... attention to be drawn to the Congress, that they might understand that it's time for the filibuster to die," says Rev. Derrell Wade, who started a hunger strike, along with other activists on January 6, calling on Congress to pass two major bills broadening access to the ballot box. Activists were arrested as groups are prohibited from demonstrating on US Capitol Grounds. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
