Description

The remains of a US helicopter are seen in a field in Jinderes following an overnight raid by US special operations forces during which IS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi reportedly blew himself up. The operation was the biggest blow to the jihadist organisation since his predecessor, the better-known Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was killed in a similar raid in the same region of Idlib in 2019. IMAGES
