Canadian Cardinal and prefect of the congregation for bishops Marc Ouellet expressed regret and asked again for forgiveness from the victims of sexual abuse atthe hands of the Church. Speaking during a symposium for priests at the Vatican the cardinal added that this criminal behaviour was “dismissed and hidden for too long, for the desire to protect the Institution and the guilty”.
