Hundreds of animal rights activists and pet owners brave the rain and cold to demonstrate on the streets of Taiwan's capital, urging the government and parliament to include animal rights into the island's constitution. Activists say current animal protection laws are proving inadequate especially when there is a conflict between human and animal welfare. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
