The flip phone: once the industry standard with iconic mobiles like the Nokia "brick", today it is all but extinct after Apple's iPhone made the separate keyboard obsolete. Yet at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, flip phones have made something of a comeback, with Chinese technology giants Oppo and Huawei leading the revival and the nostalgic "snap!" of a shutting phone resonating from the congresses' stands. Will 2022 be the year of the flip phone?
