In its new annual report, Amnesty International says that they have seen the "same tactics and means that were used in Syria and Chechnya" during Russia's war against Ukraine, with direct attacks on civilians and violations of international law. At a press conference for the reports' release in Paris, Amnesty experts add that the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, and the implementation of health restrictions, have served as a pretext for some governments to attack human rights.
