Senegalese writer Mohamed Mbougar Sarr, winner of Prix Goncourt 2021, says that he is not "surprised by the controversy" in Senegal over one of his books, which deals with homosexuality, during his first public conference in his country since his award.
Mbougar Sarr, who lives in France, won France's top literary award in October for his novel "La plus secrète mémoire des hommes", a fictional novel about the life of the late Malian writer Yambo Ouologuem. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
