Plastic garbage clogs the banks of Iraq's Tigris river, but an army of young volunteers is cleaning up a stretch of it, a rare environmental project in the war-battered country. Armed with boots and gloves, they pick up soggy trash, brittle water bottles, aluminium cans and muddy styrofoam containers, part of a group called the Cleanup Ambassadors. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
