Hundreds of Ukrainians have reached the border town of Tijuana in Mexico, in hopes of crossing onto US soil -- encouraged by a promise from Washington that it is prepared to welcome up to 100,000 Ukrainians who have fled the war. These migrants are being housed at a sports facility near the US-Mexico border as they await the processing of their applications at the border. But at a nonprofit shelter in Tijuana’s Zona Norte, Latin American migrants fleeing violence at home feel forgotten, as some wait months for news on their asylum application. "We’re also fleeing.
