In Marseille, nearly 4,000 people, according to the organisers, (3,600 according to the prefecture), hit the streets on May Day "which has an even more particular tone than usual", according to Virginie Akliouat, head of the Trade Union Federation. According to her, we must "make the re-elected president understand that for the next five years, he will have to face us if he ever intends, unfortunately, to continue to destroy (...) public services in general.
