In the garden of the Murambi Genocide Memorial, Laurent Bucyibaruta's name is inscribed on a granite slab as No 1 on a list of 75 suspected to have orchestrated one of the bloodiest episodes of the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Bucyibaruta who goes on trial in France from May 9 is accused of genocide and crimes against humanity, charges he denies. 58-year-old Juliet Mukakabanda is one of 34 to have survived the Murambi slaughter the Genocide Archive of Rwanda says claimed the lives of about 50,000 -- mainly Tutsis.
