Deaths and injuries from migrants falling off the wall at California's border with Mexico have become more frequent since portions of the structure were raised under the Trump administration, according to a study from the University of California San Diego Hospital. "We hadn't had any deaths before," says Dr Jay Doucet. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a rule known as Title 42 has been used to quickly expel migrants and stop processing asylum seekers.
