Description
In recent years, the rain forest on Mount Gorongosa has been growing back, thanks to a previously foreign crop: coffee. Juliasse Sabao, who works for Gorongosa National Park, fled to Zimbabwe to escape Mozambique's civil war. There, he discovered coffee culture and brought what he learned back with him to help restore the mountain. Now, for every coffee plant, a tree is planted to bring the needed shade to grow.
