Iranians shop at a market in the Molavi district of southern Tehran, with many suffering from a plummeting purchasing power due to surging inflations and subsidy reform. "What can I say? with these high prices, I can barely pay my shop's rent", says butcher Ali, as the crisis hits the daily lives of Iranians, mainly with an inflation rate exceeding 40 percent annually since 2018, according to experts.
