Description
The High Court in Malawi sentences Cassim Masambuka to life imprisonment for murdering his brother with albinism, MacDonald Masambuka, alongside five others. A Catholic priest Thomas Muhosha was sentenced to 30 years in jail for participating in the transaction of human tissue. The Judge, Dorothy Kamanga, also handed down two 60-year jail terms, citing and condemning the discriminatory nature of the offences. She added that the sentences should not only punish the 12 convicts, but also deter others from committing similar crimes. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
