While the fire destroying the Maine-et-Loire forest in France's Loire Valley has burnt more than 1,200 hectares since Monday, solidarity is being organised in the commune of Clefs-Val d'Anjou to support the 377 firefighters mobilised. Volunteers are preparing numerous sandwiches to feed the firemen, who have been taking turns on the ground. "We need this solidarity", explains local councillor and volunteer Jean-Pierre Farineau.
