The Versailles Palace, which was closed during the pandemic, has returned to a tourist attendance comparable to that of 2019. This summer marks the return of foreign visitors, especially Americans who represent 18% of visits, followed by Italians and Germans at 6% each. The French public, 26% of the total number of visitors, is also returning to visit the Sun King's castle. Eléa Dommange, a nurse from Reims, said she left "with stars in her eyes".
